Jim Lewein | Owner & Operator
For over 45 years, Jim has been a major force in the construction industry. He started his career in the early 70’s building homes and has been going strong ever since. In the early days of KJN it was just him guiding the way. Today he gets to enjoy watching KJN move forward into the next generation with the help of his boys. In the rare moments he spends away from KJN Jim loves to golf, officiate high school football, or spend evenings out dining with his wife of over 35 years.
Nick Lewein | Owner & Operator
Nick knew at a very young age that he was going to work in construction. Jim bought him a toy hammer at the age of two and he hasn’t stopped swinging one since. Growing up he worked summers for the company starting in the 7th grade all through high school. After graduating from Kettle Moraine in 2005, he started working full time for KJN the following week. Nick lives in Mukwonago with his wife Emily, and three children. In his very rare spare time you can usually find him on the golf course.
Jake Lewein | Owner & Operator
Jake lives in Ottawa, WI with his wife Elise, their daughter, Leighton, and golden retriever, Auggie. After graduating from Kettle Moraine in 2008 Jake moved out west to live in the mountains and snowboard. As much as he enjoyed Colorado, he knew his place was back in Wisconsin with his friends and family. He came to work for the family business once he returned and has been developing his skills ever since. He enjoys spending his spare time on the lake, golf course, or any place where he can be around those he cares for most.
The History of KJN Builders
In 1976, Jim Lewein opened up shop for himself where he honed his skills and grew into a master carpenter and general contractor. In 1991 he renamed the company KJN, after his wife and two children. Since then, our business has grown into a leading construction company for all of Southeastern Wisconsin, and is now being led into the next generation with the help of his two sons, Nick and Jake.
KJN Builders are fully licensed in the state of Wisconsin where we do all of our work. All pricing is per project and based on job scope of work, specs, plans, and meeting with staff members to give our clients what they want. Our company is a family business with close ties to our local community.
